Light FM Web Design
Light FM is a community focussed radio station in Melbourne, operated by the Christian community. Light FM approached us to develop a web design that would better cater for their programs, events and advertising, as well as their new sub sites. We were requested to design three sites for Light FM – their main website as well as two new sub-sites: Light Digital and Light Melbourne.
As Light FM is a popular radio station, promoting many different activities –there was a lot of information to go on the website especially on the home page. The original website looked very busy with information everywhere – the viewer wouldn’t know where to start.

The great challenge was to gather all of this information and to present it in a clear and appealing way. After designing different concepts and working with the client, we came up with this solution:
Light FM
Light FM had quite an expansive style guide with designated colours to each sub-site identity. Light FM is orange and light blue, Light Digital is red, and Light Melbourne is blue and we designed the websites to reflect the colour of their branding. The style guide also had a pattern design as a part of the branding so we subtly used these patterns throughout the designs as a feature (such as in the background).
